Unveiling an Unique Steam Game Trial: Controlling a Piece of Feces in a Mission to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and players have discovered plenty of entertaining creations from small studios. However, one catches the eye for its unconventional concept. Called Unko Technica, this classic-feel jumping adventure lets you play a protagonist that is actually a dung striving to make its way to a restroom. In case you're wondering, "Unko" translates to "poop."

How you interact is simple: just use a jump control. In one hundred fifty levels, encounter mini-bosses and access a market to purchase outfits for your fecal avatar.

Plan your movements with caution, since one mistake forces restarting the level. Leap off floating orbs to hurl the poop to new heights, navigate disappearing platforms, and activate buttons to open secret routes. Gather UN-KOINS for buying more difficult stages in which the action ramps up.

In terms of design, the demo boasts vibrant stages and an amazing music score. Its minimalist visual style of morphing abstract forms could recall fans of beloved games like Earthbound.

Although difficult to name similar titles where you are a dung character, gaming often featured fecal matter. For example, in Death Stranding, you can craft throwables from protagonist excrement. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize feces as soil enrichment. And of course, this theme appears heavily in the adventure The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its silly idea, Unko Technica has already received impressive recognition, like winning at a major publisher's GYAAR Studio in 2023. The demo is available currently on Steam, with the complete version planned to debut on Steam in the fall.
